Spring Mini Catalog Projects!

Dear Friends-

The latest Spring Mini-Catalog has so many adorable and fun stamps and accessories. It was a challenge to limit myself to purchasing only a few items (for now) but I did. I have the following from the catalog and used them to create the samples pictured below:
  • Polka Dots & Paisley stamp set
  • Office Accoutrement stamp set
  • Best Bar Codes stamp set
  • Petals & Paisley designer series double-sided paper (12x12)
  • Round Tab Punch

In addition I used Cool Caribbean cardstock and ink, Whisper White cardstock, Old Olive ink, and small and regular tag punches on the candle. On the memo book I used gingham ribbon in Moss. On the card I used Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, and Barely Banana cardstock, VersaMark, and Perfect Plum Stampin' Pastels (chalk).

Saturday I am attending a local event for SU demonstrators including a presentation from the number 2 Demonstrator in the company! We will also be stamping each other's work during the second half of the day. I'm really looking forward to this event and will let you know all about it next week!

Watch for details in the coming weeks about technique classes and/or stamp camps I will be offering. And, as always, let me know if you want to get your friends together for an in-home workshop. March is a great month to be a hostess with the current Spring Fever Promotion!

New Workshop Samples

Last Saturday's workshop at Shelia's home was so much fun, and I wanted to share what we created there. The ladies in attendance were either scrapbookers or interested in becoming scrapbookers, so that is primarily what I focused on with the projects.

Sample 1 is a 6x6 mini-page using Simply Scrappin' Party Pieces and the stamp set Quick Thinking. Our Simply Scrappin' sets make scrapbooking AND cardmaking SO fast and easy and the sets coordinate with our custom colors:

Sample 2 is a 6x6 mini page made using the Designer Series double-sided paper from the Winter Mini catalog called Enchante'. I also used the regular and small tag punches and the Mr. & Mrs. stamp from the Taggers Dozen... also in the Winter Mini catalog. The edges of the torn paper are distressed with Close to Cocoa from the Stampin' Pastels:

Sample 3 was our "Make & Take" card. It's a sweet little thank you card using Cool Caribbean & Whisper White cardstock, Designer Series paper from the current Winter mini catalog called Loves Me, and ribbon also from the Winter mini called Flirty. The stamp sets I used are Much Appreciated and from the upcoming Spring mini catalog, Polka Dots & Paisley:

Contact me to plan your workshop today! I can bring projects specifically designed to interest you and your guests. And these workshops are so much fun! If you schedule before Sell-A-Bration ends you and your guests will get even better benefits. I can't wait to hear from you!

I'm Back From Paradise

Dear Friends-

My sweet husband and I just returned from our vacation in Maui. What a wonderful trip! The downside? I didn't make it to the one and only scrapbooking store on the island. Oh well! And they were offering a free pineapple diecut with any purchase. Sniff! Mike and I are both feeling relaxed and recuperated and now I am excited to be back so I can be "crafty" again. Watch for more creations within the next few days, even with Christmas next week. I've been on craft withdrawal!

Remember, Sellabration is January and February, so if you are even remotely thinking about hostessing a party now is the time to do it! Call or email me anytime for more details and I'll get you scheduled.

Watch for details about my Open House in January and a multi-demonstrator event also in January. Once I have dates and more details about both I will let you all know!

I hope you all have fun this coming week preparing for Christmas, or celebrating Hanukkah.

Thanks everyone!

Thank you all who attended my debut workshop. I had a simply wonderful time and I really hope that you did too. I've taken photos of all 4 of the projects we did Wednesday night so that you can come back here and look if you forget. If you have any questions about any of the cards that I demonstrated, please let me know!

I'm also posting a picture of me with Anne after the event. Wasn't she great? She had been such a huge help to me getting started. Tonight I am attending her Christmas card making class where we will use one of the Simply Scrappin' kits to create 20 cards. I'll let you know all about it soon - and if you want to do this as a workshop with your friends let me know and I will help you with that!

Have an awesome weekend!

Added Project Photos

I've uploaded some pictures of the cards and other projects I've completed as of today using Stampin' Up! products from my demonstrator kit. They are on the flikr badge below along with the scrapbook pages I had already uploaded. I've done 15 projects so far, but the only ones you will see in individual photos are the ones that I either designed on my own or changed considerably from an SU design. The rest are in the big group photo. If you want information about any of the projects let me know. I would be happy to talk to you about a workshop for you and your friends to show you how to make any of them!

Happy Monday!

Less Than a Week!

With less than a week to go now before the workshop, I'm getting more and more excited and a little nervous. Anne has been great - very helpful to me. She will be doing 2 projects - a demo and a "make & take" for us. I'll demo a thing or two also.

Some reminders - the party is Wednesday, November 8, 7 PM at my house. Here is the Evite link. If you haven't decided yet about attending, please make your decision as soon as possible so that Anne can plan how many "make & take" projects she needs to prepare. If you haven't said yes or no yet you'll get an email from me tomorrow.

Next, bring a friend if you want. I use the word friend, but it could also be your sister, cousin, mom, co-worker, co-worker's dog groomer's 2nd cousin, etc. As long as you know them and you want to bring them they are welcome.

As always, contact me with any questions!

What's New?

Well, today I noticed that there was a problem with the Evite link to this site, so after many attempts to fix it, I just had to leave it on the invitation without the hyperlink. Sorry for any inconvenience and/or confusion this created. If you are reading this message I suppose that means you found me anyway - and I am glad!

I spent most of the day still narrowing down which projects to showcase next week for the workshop. It should be easier than this, but I really want to show as much as I can to you in the short time we will have. I've put together at least 8 samples to see which I like best, but they are all fun. Anne will be bringing a holiday-themed project as well. I'm getting very excited about the workshop.

For anyone on the fence about coming let me know. I'd like to hear your concerns and/or questions. For those of you who know you can come - YAY! Please also feel free to bring a friend. I'll just need to know for numbers. I can't wait to see you. For those of you who can't make it next week - I won't forget about you. I'll try to schedule something that will work for you after the holidays.

Take care!

You're Invited!

The invitation is out! Hopefully you have received yours via Evite. If you did not it probably just means that I do not have your email address (or I have an ancient email for you) or it went into your junk mail folder. If you don't find your invitation in junk mail, let me know and I will get you on the list with your most recent email!

Please feel free to invite a friend to the workshop. Especially if you don't feel like you are very crafty but know someone who is really into card making or scrapbooking.

Anne is going to be doing prize drawings during the evening. One is going to be an "on-time prize" so make sure to be there right at 7 or a little before.

As always, contact me with any questions! See you soon!

Workshop Date Set

Hello my crafty friends! I've set the date for my debut workshop for Wednesday, November 8 in the evening. Watch your email inbox for the Evite invitation very soon! If you have any questions let me know. Also, if you can't make this event contact me. I will be happy to schedule something with you that works in your schedule! Call or email me about it.

I'm so excited and I can't wait to see you on November 8th!

It's Almost Party Time!

Hi Friends! Hopefully you have received (or will soon receive) my email about possible dates for my debut workshop. I really hope to see you there. I've fallen in love with these stamps and coordinating inks/papers and all the possibilities for my scrapbooking. Also, it couldn't be easier to make a card, I'm finding out. You may see some pretty "schmancy" designs on the website, but mine are still pretty simple and straightforward. I promise it's easy - and FUN!

Keep coming back - I'll be posting my work and other announcements. Send me any comments or questions you have!

I'm Crafty!

Dear Friends,
I'm planning my debut workshop event for beginning my Stampin' Up! demonstratorship. I'm compiling the guest list and figuring out the best date for the event, so if you have input let me know. I may be in touch with you via phone or email about your best dates. The beginning of November (before the 10th) is what I am aiming for.

Stampin' Up! is a company which sells stamp sets and accessories as well as supplies you can use also for cardmaking and scrapbooking (my favorite). Once I have my own demonstrator website I will post that, but in the meantime visit their main page, linked in the first sentence above.

I can't wait to see you all at the workshop!
